Benilde Diaz

    I’m a surgery veterinary technician with Houston Mobile Veterinary Surgery. I grew up in Jacinto City, TX and now reside in Spring. Currently saving my pennies to buy a house! I have a strong background in general practice but love to learn and have always had a special interest in surgery. 

 

    My dad is definitely a big reason I have the love for animals I have today. Growing up he bred and raised Boston Terriers. He taught me how to love and care for them and that passion only grew over the years. If he were here today I have no doubt he would be proud of how far I’ve come in my 18 yrs in vet med. Graduating high school I had no idea what I wanted to do and my dad suggested to apply at our vets office to just walk dogs… the rest is history. 

 

    Being a voice for the voiceless is one of the most rewarding parts about this career. I will forever be an advocate for animals and do my part in continuing to learn in order to provide the best client education.  

 

    My husband and I married on Halloween 2025 after 7 yrs together.  We have a 4 yr old, Adam together. And my oldest, Julian is 13. We enjoy outdoor activities and spending time together as a family. Our pets include a 6 yr old English Bulldog named Petunia who I was given to by Dr. Hawkins who delivered her via c- section. Petunia is a calm girl who loves belly rubs and snuggles.  Pua, 2 yr old frenchie who I got after losing my heart dog Sammie passed away Feb. 2024. I have no doubt she was sent to me by her as the share many similar characteristics, one of which includes how small they are for  their breed. 

 

    Outside of work, I enjoy thrift shopping and reselling online! I enjoy pet sitting and caring for pets outside of a clinic setting. Giving clients reassurance that their pets are getting love and attention they need while they are gone.
